As part of a full refurbishment for this property in Hale, Cheshire, our clients wanted comfort, durability and practicality to sit alongside a strong design aesthetic.

For their family living area, we applied a considered combination of contrasting materials to achieve a modern yet family-friendly result. We work with a mainly neutral palette, but inject a variety of different finishes into each scheme to provide interest and texture.

Our furniture maker was briefed to create a focal media wall in ebonised wood with concrete panels, accentuated with a ribbon fire.

For the upholstery, we sourced bespoke sofas with generous proportions and fluid lines, placing comfort and durability at the heart of the design.

The result is a warm and harmonious space; a perfect backdrop to relaxed family living, enhanced by the adjustable mood and task lighting. The importance of good lighting really comes into play here, providing the right atmosphere for daytime relaxing or evenings spent watching TV as a family.
